Zoe, Rory and their families will be staying at Mykonos Blu hotel in Platis Gialos. We recommend staying in this area and have listed six hotels on the When & Where page, however there are plenty of nice alternatives nearby. We will be organising transfers to and from the ceremony and reception from Platis Gialos with details shared closer to the time. There are manny nice beaches, restaurants and beach clubs within walking distance from Platis Gialos. The area itself is quite small so you are likely to bump into friends in and around the local area.

There are also plenty of accommodation options in Mykonos town or on other areas of the island.

Travel On Mykonos

How do i get around?

Taxis on the island in rare supply and can be more unreliable than repayments on Greek Government debt. The best ways to get yourself around are the usually punctual public buses which go from the major beach towns to the old town or hiring a car. There are plenty of affordable car rental companies in Platis Gialos and you can hire a car just for a day very easily.

Planning Your Trip

which way is mykonos?

Zoe and Rory arrive on Mykonos on Tuesday September 19 and would love it for you to join us for however much time is convenient. Travelling to Athens and getting a connecting flight to Mykonos is good way of getting to the island. There are also a few direct flights to Mykonos from Europe but we recommend booking these up quickly to avoid sell outs or high prices.

Due to the lack of taxis on the island, it can be a good idea to organise a transfer with some friends or via your hotel.
